MUSLIM MINDANAO ALL OUT FOR BRO. EDDIE

MUSLIM MINDANAO ALL OUT FOR BRO. EDDIE
By: Andoni L. Valencia

“Only Bro. Eddie Villanueva can bring about changes in the conflict-ridden Bangsamoro,” prominent Muslim leaders said today as they unanimously declared support to Bro. Eddie, presidential candidate of Bangon Pilipinas.

Dr. Zafrullah Alonto, Bangon Pilipinas senatorial candidate who represents Muslim Mindanao in the slate, rallied the Amanah Coalition to publicly declare support to Bro. Eddie.

Amanah Coalition is one of Mindanao’s most influential multi-sectoral groups which has memberships from the Lumadnons in Mindanao, Maguindanao, Sulu and Palawan.

Alonto himself belongs to the Alonto clan who has deep ties with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). He brings with him MILF support to Bangon Pilipinas.

“We came out with a consensus that Bro. Eddie Villanueva, being a man of God, can bring the much-needed moral fiber in our decadent society and government and is the right person who is capable of putting the nation back to its erstwhile but lost reputation and glory which we, the Filipino people, have been proud of in the past,” Amanah Coalition’s statement said.

About forty leaders representing the most powerful clans in Mindanao gathered in a press conference to issue the Statement of Support to Bro. Eddie.

With Bangon Pilipinas vice-presidential candidate Perfecto “Jun” Yasay and the entire senatorial slate from the Catholic, Christian, and Adventist faiths, the Muslim leaders declared, “We call on all the Muslims, Christians and Lumadnons of Mindanao, Sulu and Palawan, as well as the people of Luzon and Visayas, to join us in supporting the Villanueva-Yasay tandem and its entire senatorial slate so that we can achieve a new and lasting real beginning in our beloved nation.”

Per Comelec data, 23.5 percent of the voting population for the 2010 elections is in Mindanao. ###

venue

Coinciding with KKB Movement’s 20th anniversary, The Youth Summit 2009 shall be held at the PBA’s home court, the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay, City.

As much as the KKB Core Leadership would like to have it at the Big Dome in Quezon City, jam-packing the entire Astrodome is yet to be done. Last year’s Summit had some seats unoccupied because they were covered by the backstage set-up.

For this year, the Leadership is looking forward to fill every seat by coming up with a stage design that would make it possible by not blocking the crowd’s view from any point.

“We are confident that the five percent ‘dead area’ we had last Summit would be filled by young people this year. Thousands of our members who didn’t make it to the Summit last year are now excited to not miss it,” explained KKB Executive Director Ptr. Emil Galang.

STAND UP!

STAND UP FOR GOD: That is the main message of this month’s youth service entitled Stand Up! held at the Jesus is Lord Church in Malolos on the first Sunday of August. Pastora Rebecca Martin, the speaker delivered the word to a crowd of 170 youths that responded eagerly to the call. Life groups were formed shortly afterwards to share reflections and thoughts regarding the message. KKB Revived also performed special numbers to show that they are really standing up for their Maker.

Stand up for what we believe in

Stand up for the truth and the light

Stand up even though we’re failing

In the end, our stars shine bright

Yes right now, no more hesitating

We’ll go for that extra mile

Trust His love, it’s never failing

‘Cause in the end, we will stand up

Truly, His love is never failing. Soli Deo Gloria!

Thanksgiving

No words can explain. No adjective could express. Everyone was fresh from rejoicing after the victory God had shown just two days ago. The whole JIL Malolos spent a time to celebrate and most of all, to thank God for His favor, unprecedented blessings, and love to each and everyone. For the past 20 years, God has been very faithful to His people. Each new year marks a promise of prosperity, blessings and favor. But this year seems different. This is the high time to give everything to the Lord. Excellent Service to the One, Excellent God. Cheers for the past years and most of all, for more years to come, God be blessed!

Talent Fest 2009

Solo Singing Contest, Duet Singing Contest, Unique Talent, Battle of the Bands, and Street Dance Competition. God’s grace and faithfulness was once again witnessed as KKB Malolos bagged awards on this year’s much awaited Festival of talents last May 28, 2009. As our declaration says this year: We won’t offer anything that would cost us nothing, none of this would have been achieved without Him. In Him we live, move and have our being.

Nothing to prove. Nothing to brag about. Just God’s glory to be told and demonstrated because giving God all the glory and praises is much more delighting, He deserves all hard work and every effort. SOLI DEO GLORIA! The best for the Lord!
